Red Point Signcraft Sdn Bhd got established in the year 1983 by Yh Lau, Hs Lau and Ms Lau. With their core business areas being signages, display counter, interior consultation and road show setting up services for major home appliances brands in Malaysia, the affairs at Red Point are managed by an able staff of 10 management people heading individual departments. With 103 fulltime employee with 44 in production 45 in design / account / quantity surveyor 14 in carpentry, the ISO certified company houses a state-of-the-art facility with most modern equipment for – Router, Laser Cut, Soven Printing, Flatbed Printing, Bending for Wording and Bending for Aluminium etc. The staff is well trained to handle a versatile portfolio of products and solutions. The company keeps the personnel updated on latest skills by imparting at least 20 hours annual training for each staff.

“We offer our clients a one-stop solution from design, fabrication to installation and cater to the needs ranging from those of corporations to retails,” says Tony Ho.
Red Point’s production schedule is almost 12 hours a day. Dedicated towards commitments, they follow a systematic management system to deliver their services to customers. “Technology saves our production and management a lot of time in terms of fabrication to management of our process,” says Tony Ho. They create designs for different industries and management is impeccable at Red Point. They have SOP set for each department and thus ensure a flawless delivery of their services on time to clients, though Tony acknowledges the problem of manpower shortage in the industry which he finds similar to global manpower problem.
Interestingly, Red Point has a unique way of ensuring quality in their services and products. The process starts at procurement stage of material. “We have an evaluation process for all our suppliers either local or overseas. We ensure beforehand that none of the raw material supplies bring any defects on our finished good,” stresses Tony Ho.

Though Tony Ho considers the shortage of manpower as the key challenge in their business, yet he is planning to soon automate processes by advanced solutions.
